TheVL-1 is a toy keyboard released in 1981 in Japan. It combined a mono synth, a sequencer and even a calculator!
As the first commercially available digital synthesizer, it was used by synthpop bands such as The Human League and Devo.
I recently came accross an original model, so I sampled it and created a virtual version for Ableton Live.
The pack includes:
-
21 Synth presets in both monophonic and polyphonic versions (up to 16 voices).
-
Drum rack featuring the original drum sounds, as well as gain and pitch controls.
-
10 Loops with the factory rhythm patterns.
-
Sampled directly from the original model at 44.1 kHz / 32-bit.
-
Compatible with Live 9 onwards.
